Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
Ukraine's power facilities have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while residents in the city's east were experienced blackouts and dealt with problems to water systems, as stated by local authorities.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a separate aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southern area, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has increased assaults on energy facilities over the past few days, while officials has called for "concrete actions" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but strong steps - from the America, the EU and the Group of Seven - in supplying defensive weapons and applying sanctions," he wrote in a online statement.

Officials stated that 450 drones and several dozen missiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were laboring to repair systems.

A wave of strikes damaged electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to city authorities.
